Texas writers trade songs in the round — a rotating cast of hosts (John Arthur Martinez, Tate Mayeux, George Ensle, Aaron McDonnell, Julie Nolen) brings a different special guest every week. The honky-tonk turns into a listening room.
Poodie's motto gets its own night. Andrea Marie hosts the song swap and the open mic that follows it. BB Morse takes the second and fourth Wednesdays. The third is Blues Night, hosted by Steve Bigler. When a month runs to five, Dylan Robichaux has the last one.
Poodie's Tuesday institution — on stage at five, done in time for you to still make a decent bedtime. Taco Tuesday runs alongside it, 5 to 7.
